Actually a better question would be how many years has Al Gore worked against the U.S.? The answer would be all his life. The answer to your question is Al Gore has never worked for the U.S.

I'm sure not sure what you mean by "worked for."

Al Gore served in the U.S. House for 8 years, the Senate for 8 years, and the Vice Presidency for 8 years. That makes 24 years total.

I think it's interesting that while Al Gore was actually in office as VPOTUS, he did very little for the environment that he now says is so urgent. He did not sign Kyoto, he did not do anything to raise the CAFE standards, etc.. He had his chance already and accomplished very little so why should we respect him now? Same for the rest of the Democrat majority of late, what did they accomplish in the first 100 hours initiative? If they believe they should pull out the troops, they don't have the courage of their own convictions to cut off funding for the war because of how it will look as not supporting the troops. Appearances are more important to them then their principles.

The world may disagree with the President for his view of the war to free and support the Iraqi people, but at least I respect a person for following through with the courage of his convictions.
