You are protected as you can be provided you've been on the pill for at least 3 months. I believe it takes that long for the hormones to make sure to get the signals right in your body and tell it not to ovulate. However, you do know that the pill is not 100%, right? You should still use a condom if you don't want to get preggers.

t Nope. The pill, when taken correctly, will not let your body produce an egg. You can, however, still get pregnant on the pill. If you miss three or more active pills within he cycle or are/have taken antibiotics, this can lessen the effectiveness of the contraceptive. You can not get pregnant during the placebo, or "dummy", pill cycle. If you do not start you period within the time to start the active pills, you may want to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. But as long as you are taking them correctly and at the same time everyday, then you should be fine. Good luck!

yes, you can get pregnant on the "dummy pills" but it's not any more likely than getting pregnant on one of the "active" pills. the only concerning thing is the fact that you said your period was due Monday? and you haven't gotten it?
well, just a heads up .. I got pregnant ON the pill after being on the pill for 10 years non-stop and I've had a few friends who have gotten pregnant on the pill as well.
The cramping does NOT mean your period is coming, I had the same symptoms last October when my period was due and it never came . .
I'm now 33 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby boy.
You are past 1 day after your missed period .. you might wanna take a test ..
good luck! God bless!

The dummy pills are only to keep you in the habit of taking pills. You only can actually menstruate around the 15th day (plus or minus 3 days) of your cycle. You are taking hormone pills throughout the month to fool your body into thinking that you are pregnant. Therefore, you never menstruate. When you take the "fake" pills, your body recovers like you were not pregnant and you have a period (which usually flushes an unused egg). However, there was no egg released, so there is no unused egg to flush. If you never menstruate, you never get pregnant. You are fine as long as you didn't miss a "real" pill.

Is it the last sugar pills of your pill pack? If youve been taking the pill over 3 months prior to this then you are still about 99 percent protected. If not then theres a high chance of you being pregnant.

if you read the tiny packet that comes in the birth control package it should say that if taken correctly you are 99% assured that you will NOT get pregnant on the dummy pills. I am on ortho tri cyclen low and don't start my period until almost all the dummy pills are gone..which is odd. i have been on it for over two years.

Well, yes. You can fall pregnant while on birth control pills. I did. I even had my period the next month. The flow was very little, but I suspected something, because my breasts were tender - and I had a craving for freshly baked bread with butter. My friend told me to go for tests so I did. And I was 5 weeks pregnant. So yes, it can happen.

you are still protected. the dummy pills are sugar pills. the active ingredients are in the others and each pill has different amounts in it so you need to take them in the order they are packaged. ( i just learned that a few weeks ago. about taking in order. never knew it myself til pharmacist told me.)

i could flow with the IUD if I have been you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and characteristic at the instant had it bumped off to purpose for toddler quantity 2. The IUD replaced into painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week verify up after my daughter replaced into born. that's risk-free to apply while you're nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do no longer could desire to subject approximately pills or something. the only think of i did no longer comprehend when I have been given the Mirena is that's can take awhile to your menstral cycles to return to customary after having the IUD bumped off. I had mine bumped off in December 2008, and in the previous couple months my cycles have ultimately decrease back to customary, different than that, I quite advise the IUD!
