Bring back Martyball. It's f'd up the way they let him go. I've never seen a coach go 14-2 and get canned. New England was just better that day. The coach can prepare his players but the players PLAY THE GAME. You didn't see Marty running fly patterns or lined up to blitz on third down. The players play the game. When teams win, its all about the players, when teams lose, fire the coach. Bring Back Martyball! He may be coaching the Browns before all is said and done.

I feel ya, especially since they replaced him with Norv Turner. I get the feeling the Spanos family has no clue what they're doing at all. Especially after leaving Marty in place long enough for all the higher-calibre coaching candidates to get jobs, then letting him go and starting the search. And oh yeah! Did they even interview Norm Chow?

Getting rid of Marty was one of the dumbest things they could have done. Look at Tony Dungy with the Bucs he had playoff hardships and now he has a ring with the Colts.

I'm not a fan of either the Chiefs or the Chargers, but I do think that Marty was a quality guy.

Since the Chargers came so close to winning it all I thought the coach should have been given another year to try to improve on an excellent but not quite Super Bowl winning season.

I don't, always hated Shittenhiemer. As a Raiders fan I am glad you replaced him with Norv Turder. If anybody can destroy a team as talented as the Chargers it's Norv.
