Its with Maggie Gyllenhaal...did it ever go to theaters? I dont remember it being in theaters, i saw this movie at blockbuster and it looked really good...i was just wondering if its been to theaters or not and if so, when?

Yes it was in theatres, but it was not in wide release. It only played in smaller theatres that cater to the independent film crowd. If you don't live in Los Angeles, NY, etc. It probably didn't play at a theatre near you.
Absolutely rent it. She does a great job in it and I'm sure there are many real life mother's out there who unfortunately had circumstances like hers to live through and hopefully overcome... it's pretty hardcore. I would make sure there are no children in the vicinity when you watch it! Enjoy!

Yes I saw it in NY around Oct or so of last year. I am not sure it got a major release like a "blockbuster". I believe it was a smaller-budgeted, independent film. I thought it was very interesting and well-acted.

Yes, rent it, you will like...but, you kinda think a little different about her after watching. Like when I see her now, all I think about is her in Sherry Baby.
It is more like a IFC movie....not very expensive, but true life kinda stuff.
Oh, and it was not in the theaters.
