Not likely with different and incompatible ideas in so many places. Add to that the rise of psychotic and/or power hungry people who gain power by blaming other nations for problems in their home countries.
I think the best we can do at this time would be to start developing nonlethal weapons so nations that want to be fair to the innocent can defend themselves against the types of rulers mentioned above without killing innocent people. Effective nonlethal weapons are probably a long way off, too, but I suspect we will make quicker progress developing them than we can make changing human nature.
Now, let me ask you a question regarding that. Do you think the advantages of nonlethal weapons would outweigh the disadvantages?
Some possible advantages would be:
Denying the enemy of kill or be killed motivation to kill our troops.
Eliminating the revenge motive that some soldiers feel when their buddies are killed.
A disadvantage would be that some enemy soldiers would be more fearless in attacking if they knew they wouldn't be killed by our weapons. Their sense of fairness could be turned off through brainwashing.

I don't believe World peace is possible at this point. I believe in the rapture and that until it occurs the world will only get worse. And then yes, definitely world peace.

Yes. In the near future. I believe it possible within the next 5000 years but there will be need for a world police force to deter the crime that will also diminish then but won't exist at all in 10,000 years.

It's a concievable possibility, but will never happen, because it is an overwhelming probability that there will always be war and/or disagreements between countries. There will always be issues unresolved.

No.
It is just simply impossible for humans to exist as a single nation. No matter how perfect that nation is, a group of people will dislike it, and rebel.
