After looking at that link I changed my mind! I now think it was someone off of the island, perhaps someone who "rescued" them. If you look at the close up of the obit you can make out part of the name : J___ ___antham

Also..did you happen to notice how small the coffin was? It was a small adult man.

If you mean the funeral and wake...
I think the casket is noone we've met yet. It is too short for it to be any adult on the island. It is also too short to be Walts casket.

Has to be Juliette. Jack cried when he found her obituary in the paper. Kate said "Why would I go to the funeral?", we know she obviously despises Juliette. Also, if Juliette's sister died from cancer, she didn't have any other family. The reason why no one came to her viewing.
If it was anyone else, he wouldn't have cried over the obituary, and the casket. Also, Kate only despises Juliette and Ben. Jack wouldn't cry over Ben, or go to his funeral.

my vote is for Locke, not Juliet. Locke and Jack have been "fighting" on the island and that has driven them apart. The funeral director asked if he was friend or family and he said neither, he would have been upset over Juliet but he was angry over this one, had to be Locke...I can't believe I have to wait il feb now!

A whole bunch of "others" Charlie may be dead. Locke is definitely alive. But I won't tell you how it all happened. You'll just have to watch and see. Lord it is a doozy!!! Walt has gotten taller!
