Terrific. They can be targets on our borders.
What will they do? Shoot at hungry Mexicans? Look where that got the border patrol!
I'm so over this nonsense it is not funny. But thanks, finally, for putting forth some kind of liberal plan. Because all I see is negativism and bashing from the rest of them.

The only way your plan would work would be if we nuked the middle east and made it a self lighting glass parking lot after we pulled out our troops.

Well maybe just enough to patrol the southern border and our ports since Bush can't seem to control it. Let the rest see their families for a while...recoup and regroup. Then see what needs to be done from there.

seems some people think terrorists are going to flap their arms and fly over the ocean to get to us.
They got to us on september 11th, because they weren't Iraqie, Iranian, or syrian, but saudi!
meanwhile, Bush claims the center of the war on terror is in a country where only one of the masterminds were from.

"castle defense" that is what you describe), does NOT work anymore in the modern world, since we are so dependent on what happens outside our borders for our economy and resources.
the best defense is a strong offense and to win you need to take the other guy down!!! ...before he gets to your turf!!
so bringing the troops home is the worse option. we need to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to win it there, if the fighting get here we have lost!

Nope, it would make me happy that a Marine could kill ANY perceived enemy combatant and not have to answer to some worthless embedded reporter who has a liberal agenda but will never have to fire a shot in anger because he is protected by the Marines that he is going to take down and kill because he doesn't understand war.

Well if the troops were on our American border; that would conclude the need to be over in Iraq. The terrorist would know what they would face. In addition; its a two for one deal, to protect/serve/and detour more illegals from crossing. Our troops would be closer to their families and love-ones.

No, I think we need more Military in Iraq. Like 200,000 instead of playing games with 20,000. We could clean that country up real quick.
