Hi maidthelard,

Remember your Grandma was a girl also. Ask your grandma what she wore, ask how she wore her hair, ask her if she dated boys, ask if her parents every objected to who she dated, about her school? What kinda rules did your grandma have as a kid your age? Maybe you really do have something's in common. And your grandma unfortuately won't be around forever so do cherish her now while you still can. To be so lucky that still has a grandma alive who cares & is trying to show you. Have a good day. :0)

She might have a good reason why don't you just listen to her reason and then make your decision? You know she loves you and only wants good things for you. She has been around a long time and seen a lot of things. She was young once too and there were sorry guys back then to. Always listen to your family, it doesn't mean you have to always agree but you should definitely listen and not be so close minded! You know you might be a mother and a grandma someday too. what if you see something bad that could happen to your granddaughter or grandson. You'd tell them wouldn't you? Would you want them to listen to you especially when you knew something they didn't!!!!

You are so blessed to have a grandma who loves you. She may be old and unreasonable but she have only good intentions for you. Her being mad about a boy, well, perhaps she don't want you to get hurt with being in a relationship and then go thru all the heartache and tears. Your hair & dress sense - perhaps she's a traditionalist. Im sure she don't hate you but it will be good for you to talk to her (nicely) about how she makes you feel.

well i dont know how you were dressed or how you were acting but maybe you were acting like a tramp and dressed slutty.if my granddaughter did you can bet your but i would let her know that is not acceptable behavior.be glad your grandma loves you and is trying to teach you how to act as a young lady should.we were all young once like you and we know how easy it is for kids to do the wrong thing.just remember grandma loves you and only wants what is best for you.talk to her and see if maybe she can see your point of view also and let her explain to you what bothered her so much.good luck.

You need to let her know that you are your own person. She needs to realize that you are an individual and she is not in control of influencing the way you live!

How do your parents feel about the guy, the way you dress, and your hair? If they are ok with those issues maybe they will speak with your grandmother.
