MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

$150 at the egg. It's got everything you could ever want on a board for under $250. SLI, gaming, gigabit lan, PCI-E, SATA 3.0GB... OC too!

I find that one of the easiest, if lazy, ways to plan out your own builds is to use a builder at a good company's site, something like cyberpowerpc.com. Then you can build a pc with their builder, and you know the parts are compliant with one another and you can go out and find the individual parts cheap from stores or sites like newegg and put it together yourself. Saves you the hassle of looking up specs and compatibility.

If you are building your own computer I'm sure you know about newegg.com. When I built mine (a couple years ago) I got a lan party board. If they have newer ones I'd reccommend that make.
