Just go to the VIP rope and offer the host $100 - you will get in faster but not right away and you will still have to pay cover. Being on the guestlist doesn't hurt, just remember there are literally hundreds of people "on the list" every night and you won't be let in first unless the host personally knows you, you're a girl, or you offer a tip.
No dealer or cocktail waitress is going to help you get into a nightclub, don't waste your time on that. A pit supervisor may see if a casino host will walk you in- if you are betting $100 or more a HAND for a few hours. You are better off spending that money at the nightclub.

Use your hotel concierege immediately when you check in. At this point they know nothing about you other than what they can see. They don't know if you're gambling $1000 a night or $100 a night. Dress nice for your travel out there so that you look like you can afford these clubs and will be able to tip the concierge handsomely when they help you.
So, check in and go see the concierge. Get something set up for that night or the next night. If the concierge takes care of things for you I'd give them $50 or $100. Remember, Vegas is all about $100's...Carry $100's in your pocket, not a bunch of $50's and $20's. Put the 100's on the outside of your roll, so when you pull one out the dealers, concierge, etc....assume you've got a bunch of them.
After the first night, go see the concierge again...thank them and tell them what a great time you had and ask if they can arrange another night. Tip again.

You don't "grease the bouncer" - they'll laugh at you and take your money. As someone else said, sit at the table and play a little blackjack and suck up to the pit boss, or go ask the concierge to see if they can get you on the list for a couple of places (I recommend no more than two places a night, and one is really preferable) and tip the concierge the $50 or a $100 - or more - depending on how many lists they can get you on.

LOL $50 dollars isn't going to help you get into any club in Vegas - especially if you are with a bunch of guys! Sorry - try $100 each (maybe). Tipping the hotel staff or casino dealers won't help you either because you aren't a high-roller and the club and casino are seperate entities.
Your best bet to get in is to either offer at least $100 each (which may get you in - there is only one guy who determines who gets in) or try to get on the guest list for a particular club. You will still have to stand in a line and pay the cover, but it isn't as long as the *main* line.

Good luck! I'm a local and my fiance is a bouncer at Rain. Every girl who comes through thinks they can get to the front of the line. The bouncers have heard and seen it all.

I agree with KK. Club promoters are everywhere. If you're with a bunch of cute girls they will approach you and put you on their list. If you're fat and ugly, forget it - get in line early and expect to pay a cover. If you want to go to a club located in the Palms hotel, hang out and walk around at the Palms during the day or get dressed up and go to dinner there. If you get skanky they will come.
