I have met people that just seem to expect prejudice to be the cause of all their inconveniences. If they don't get a call, they say that the person didn't call because they are prejudice (never mind the other 5 people who didn't get a call either, and aren't of the same ethnicity). Or they automatically assume that you see a stereotype instead of a person and therefore make you feel uncomfortable for it (even when you haven't said or done anything). These individuals take everything personally. On first appearances to the non-prejudice people, they often appear to use it simply as an excuse. Keep in mind that the person asking is not prejudice of any ethnicity, but wants to find a better way of dealing with people who are like this.

I have met some people like this...they are difficult to be around, you cannot get close to them, for the chip on their shoulder prevents getting within 5 feet of them. Not only are they difficult to be around, they are difficult to get rid of...if you act neutral, suddenly YOU are prejudice...in reality, it is a cop out on their part. They refuse to accept responsibility for their "unlikableness." When I meet this kind of person, I make any excuse to remove myself from their presence. There is NO dealing with them...they prevent any kind of real relationship, so don't even try. It is their lot in life to live in misery, that is the only way they are happy, for they prove themselves to be correct...they ARE being discriminated against..not for color or sexual proclivity, but because they are what and who they are.

Yes, prejudice and racism are terrible things. Who knows what we "all" could accomplish had these horrific actions never been implemented. They do happen more frequently than a certain group who inflicts most of it is willing to admit, but the devastating effects of it are most prominent.

Stand up and always do what is right; not what is convenient or traditionally bigotous.

Eve was created with the seed of all races within her. Noah had 3 sons and one was white one black and one asian. THis started the races after the flood. All spoke the same language until God seperated them and gave them different languages. All came from Adam and Eve and all are created in the immage of God with the same potential to become His children in the Kingdom of God. All will learn and understand Gods plan before man becomes spirit. All will have a chance

Alot of people have no explanation for their lot in life other than to maintain the status-quo of their own ignorance. Believe me, alot of people whom you describe stereotype themselves by the labels they adhere to with tenacity. It's only when you see through their facade and understand that they "need" that stereotype to justify their static and inert existence, does it become clear that they are quite comfortable in their stagnant cess-pool of self-righteousness and never ending search for an identity that won't convict their conscience of self-delusion.

Psst. They're called black people. I hate to say it, but they're the ones that do this. When a cop pulls them over it's automatically because they're black, not because they're going 90 in a 55. When gratuity is added to their check at a restaurant, it's because they're black, not because they came in with a party of 30 people. You know, on and on it goes.

Nice way of disguising your question!

The best way to deal with people like this, is to avoid them!

Peace!

I tend to avoid all contact with crazy people.

Not too helpful, I know, but what else can you do? If you try to explain why you are not racist, the explanation itself will be misinterpreted as racist.

Hum, "goldwing" has a good point.
