Sometimes pronunciation of English is a little complicated. If you there in The USA speak aunt like ant why don't you write the same? ANT! Or say different. The first time I said it sounds strange like if I am calling my aunt of ant. Really. In my language both are very different.

It depends on where you are. Different pronunciations of aunt are considered "correct" in different countries, or even in different parts of the same country.
In the part of Canada in which I grew up, I only ever heard it pronounced "ant".
In Australia, where I live now, people laugh at me when I say "ant". Everyone here says "ahnt".

It depends on what part of the country you live in. Some places they say 'ant' in other places (like where I live in New England) they say 'ahnt.' BOTH are correct.

There are many words that have more than one CORRECT pronunciation -- route and tomato are two that come to mind right now.

As every non-gay, English speaking American knows. It is pronounced ANT. People that say AHNT are really illegal Canadians who snuck across the border into this country only to say AHNT, and then go back and tell their fellow Canucks that they are corrupting those good Americans by not pronouncing words the right way. Shame on you ShoeHo!

Every decent American knows that it is pronounced ANT. Only Canadian Communists say AHNT. That shoe chick is full of poop.

In the word "aunt", "au" is pronounced as it is in the word "autism". It doesn't matter where you live or what your culture is, the correct pronunciation as in the word above. An "ant" is what crawls along your picnic table.
