Remember that flashback of Ben's when he was a kid and ran out into the jungle after his mother, and ran into Richard Alpert (his first encounter with and "other")? Did anyone else notice that Alpert is still the same age now as he was when the child Ben first ran into him?

Yes, and at the beginning of the episode Ben says to Richard "today is my birthday, you remember those, don't you Richard?" My guess is that life extension was one of the projects of the Dharma Group that the Others usurped. Richard is the guinea pig and he's not aging.

Yea totally. Do you remember back to the first season when that blonde girl (Syed's gf who got shot) found some French poem or song on the island? The song stated about the "island of youth" and some other things along those lines. Since that episode, I believe that the island is somehow a "fountain of youth" where no one ages, but that can't be exactly true since Russo's daughter aged. But there could be some special "pool of youth" hes been drinking out of.

**Stephen, you are SO right!
