Why is it that women can get away with so many things that men can't? For example, women seem to think that:

If a woman hates a man, that's okay; If a man hates women, he's sexist.
If a woman says all men are liars and cheat on their girlfriends, she gets sympathy; If a man says that about women, he's sexist.
If a woman cheats on her boyfriend, it's okay; If a man cheats on his girlfriend, he's a whore.
If a woman hits her boyfriend and it hurts, it's supposed to be cute; If a man hits his girlfriend, it's domestic abuse.
If a woman is a lesbian, it's cool; If a man is homosexual, he's a horrible person.
If a woman wants to have sex with a man, it's fine; If a man wants to have sex, he's a whore.

I've seen all these situations way too many times. I've had women lie to me and cheat on me, and I've never cheated on a woman, so why can women act like ALL men cheat on their partners and women NEVER do? It's not that I hate women, but I'd like to know why women think like this.

I forgot to mention this, but I'd like to say that I realize not all women are like that. There are those who understand that both men and women have faults.

Well, I think I got enough data. To be honest, I just wanted to see how people would respond to something like this. Though I have seen an abundance of questions on here similar to "Why do all men cheat?" and I did not lie about my past experiences that I mentioned in my original question, I do know that this sexism isn't exclusive to women, and that not all women are like this; it all depends on where you look. Sad to say, but at my school it's hard to find a girl who isn't a slut, and even more saddeningly, they believe their promiscuity is acceptable. If I were to move somewhere else, I bet I would find women who are more respectable. At any rate, this has helped with my research greatly. Thank you all for your responses.

One woman's opinion does not apply to all women! We are definitely all different and don't all think alike. Women and men can be as low as the other or can equally be the rock in the relationship. Find someone who does not have all that negativity, hate, violence and all those cheating tendencies.
Life can be much more blissfull than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If a woman has sex with more than 2 males, she's a sl*t! If a man has sex with more than 2 he's a ledgend.

If a woman gets pregnant she must stay at home and feed the baby and support it. If a man gets a woman pregnant he can leave and not pay any support.

There are double standards of every person regardless of sex.

I think if a man hates a woman (for a good reason), that's fine. If a man cheats on his girlfriend is just as bad as any other cheater out there. Domestic violence happens to both sexes, it's not a double standard. The police take it just as seriously. I think it's cool if a guy is homosexual. Sex should be between two people who love each other.

We are living in the year 2007 and these double standards no longer apply. A cheater is a cheater, a lier is a lier. Regardless of what sex they are.

not all women think like this. You have just been unfortunate to know ones that do. Do you think that might have something to do with the kinds of women you are choosing to be with? It sounds like you have been terribly hurt by some poor examples of women. I am sorry for you. You seem pretty bitter and jaded. I can understand you feeling that way. But the double standard only exists in some ppls minds. Not all women think it is okay to hate, talk bad about, cheat, or hit men. The reason being a lesbian is supposedly "cool" is because horny men like to watch. And a male homosexual is not a horrible person because he is gay. I hope you meet some new women that restore your faith in our sex and treat you with kindness and respect.

I have seen all of these points ans have seen that it is partly in the view that women are the fairer gender. Few feminist groups seem to present that women need to be strong and men need to be lowered to a point that punishments are needed.

Society often takes the side of the victims of the past or when injustices have happened. I am glad that there are women who see that all are equal and more needs to happen on both sides to help make the lives of men and women better.
Thank you to all of you for that.

Both men and women need to stop the double standards,

Wow, what kind of women have you been hanging around or attracting into your life? Since when is cheating on your boyfriend okay? Or abusing your spouse?

I personally don't know or surround myself with women like this and its unfortunate that these have been the type of women you encounter. It may be time to meet some new people or figure out why these are the type of women you are attracting to you.

Do you really think that double standards are exclusive to women???
Think again! If a man takes a tough stance on something, he is shrewd. If a woman does it, she's a b*tch. If a man wants to sleep around, he's a player - the woman would be considered a slut. If a woman loses her temper, she is "hysterical" - if it's a man, he is angry or upset. I could keep going, but I'm sure you catch my drift. It isn't the gender that has the double standard, but is certain individuals who have them.
btw, your bitterness and anger are coming through SO loud and clear. Calm down & cheer up - things will get better!

Women reason emotionally. It isn't logic or truth that tells them what is right and wrong. It is the situation and how it impacts them.

This leads to situational ethics that you point out in your question. Don't let it get you down. You might try a different pool of women. Church chicks are awesome. I am married to one and probably should have married one or two before her.... They really are different.
