No chance. They have al ot of money coming their way, and one of the shrewdest managers in the game to spend it. They will buy big and buy well during the summer, and will then have another crack at trophies next season.
Over the past 30 years, Liverpool have developed a knack of bouncing back stronger after painful defeats:
1977 - lost FA Cup final...won European Cup 4 days later
1985 - lost European Cup Final on a dreadful night...did the domestic double the following year.
1988 - lost FA Cup Final to Wimbledon...but won the cup the following year amid tragedy
1989 - lost the league in the last minute to Arsenal...won it again the following season
1990s - comparative drought by their own trophy winning standards...Noughties, 6 trophies and counting, plus 2 other major cup finals.
2005 - lost League Cup Final to Chelsea...but beat AC Milan in Istanbul to lift Champions League

Liverpool needs to start challenging domestically ...they have a strong squad....but to all sincerity, they did not challenge for the EPL at all.....they just played well enough to come in 3rd and prioritize the Champions League......

oh NOoooo, i dont think so. u c liverpool didnt play bad, they created many chances, but failed 2 score, i mean their finishing was not good enough. eventhough i m a pure milan (mainly kaka) fan, i've 2 admit they kept more possesion, but they couldnt utilize that. thats y milan scored 1st as pippo was clinical 2 score the 2 goals (specially the 2nd goal). thats y milan won! but y would it b over 4 liv?! they can overcome next season may b.
but watever happens 2 liv, i dont care very much really. its MIGHTY MILAN & KAKA i support... we've won & we'll try 2 retain it... FORZA MILAN! FORZA KAKA!
