Yes. I have two neices who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq. One was wounded 6 months ago and has received 3 surgeries for facial wounds. The other serves in military intelligence operations. Both are identical twins and are only 5"4", but solidly built and could probably kick most guy's butts if they had to. I think women have the capacity to serve just as well as men, and for the most part, are more intelligent, too. My neice that was wounded wants to return to action in Iraq to train surge troops. She knows I am opposed to this war, and she respects my opinions, and she knows I support the troops as well as any woman or man who has volunteered to serve the country.

It's gory but some still want to go anyhow. Think they ought to receive more state recognition (n not jus in cases as shown in courage under fire)

Only as Gen. Hooker (oddly enough) used them in the civil war. To follow the men to keep spirits "up". If you can dig it. And yes its in the history books.

if they are in the army...yes besides if a CO decided not to put women on the front it might be considered sexual discriminaton.

No I don't think they should but I feel like they should have the choice to do so if they like. I wouldn't.....
