I just bought a new dell computer and when I tried to reinstall my adapter from my old computer it wont work. The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition. I can install the stuff from the resource CD, and I get a screen that says "It is now safe to plug in adapter". But when I plug in my adapter I suddenly get this blue screen and have to restart my computer. Anyone know how to fix this? Is there some sort of patch I need to download, and if so from where?

Thanks!

Has this continuously got here approximately, or is it a sparkling subject that began when you put in the adapter? If the latter, it extremely is probable a topic with the adapter's driving force. verify the producer's website to be certain if there's a sparkling version of the driving force to place in. you may additionally try re-setting up the driving force from the disk (CD) that could desire to have comprise it. If that doesn't artwork, there may well be some kluges which will help. try removing the adapter before you shut down. i'm uncertain on the subject of the specific info on ME, yet there might desire to be a "effectively do away with hardware" determination someplace which will close down the adapter and provide help to unplug it. you may additionally manually kill any tactics linked with the adapter (hit ctrl-alt-del to advance the activity supervisor, navigate to the "tactics" tab, click your adapter's technique, and hit the "end technique" button). Neither of those 2 ideas is fairly stable, yet they are extra valuable than a blue demonstrate screen. New drivers are your terrific guess.
