Did she have grape kool-aid? My kids got BRIGHT GREEN POOP from grape kool-aid. Or even a purple dyed drink like grape juice or something. May want to look into that.

Okay, take a deep breath....okay. :) I have a 13 month old, so I totally know how you feel.
Don't worry, just call the doc and say, my daughter has bright green poop, and ask what he thinks.
Call the grandma right away and ask what she ate. Lots of things can make it that color.

My daughter had poo that looked like bright green pistachio ice cream for about a week. The doc said it was probably a virus going through her system. He wasn't concerned at all.

Still...you'll feel better if you get a professional opinion.

Don't worry, it'll be okay! :)

My daughter always gets bright green poop when she drinks grape koolaid, like the other poster said. If you are concerned I would call the doctor in the morning and tell them what is going on. I wouldn't be worried about it unless she is acting extremely ill or different then she usually does.

It could be due to something your child ate. My daughter was fed whole cherries at her Nana and Papa's house and I thought she was pooping blood clots, I called to ask what she had eaten, and when I found out it made a lot of sense. Babies digest things differently than adults do, it is most likely something she ate. You can always call and ask the nurses what they think, and then it doesn't cost you a co-pay or the gas to drive over to see the doctor.

Find out what she ate there. Cleaning supplies or other poisons would have created other problems before she pooped them out! Fruit roll ups or other fruit snacks, green food dye, green or yellow kool aid could cause this color.

Sometimes when kids drink a LOT of milk, their poop turns green. As long as it is not red or white, any color is fine.

It may be something innocent that she ate or it could be that she did get into some poisen. Please take her to the emergancy room it's better to be safe than sorry. They will be able to help.

Also for future reference; please don't post on here about questions that you think might be urgant, if you feel like something isn't right about your baby take her the the emergancy room remember better safe then sorry.

Hope that helps hun and I hope she's ok

give your doc a call and see what she says
it is normal for poo to change colors, ask her grandma what she fed her, but call the doc just to be safe
