It depends on when the park closes. If the park is closed to the public at those hours, then yes. Because when it's closed it's no longer public and you can't be there.

Most parks have hours posted - most say closed at dark.
Therefore you are on the property after normal business hours - you do not have a right to be there - therefore criminal trespass.

Generally parks close at dusk for safety purposes. I am not sure if its criminal trespassing but depending on what type of park it is/who owns it makes it trespassing.

You need to specify if it is a public or private park. You also did not specify if there was any curfew or other limitations on the use of the facilities. Finally, laws on the use of public land will vary by community, so what may be true in San Diego might not be true in New York.

The law does allow local municipalities to govern the use of public property. This includes the authority to set hours of use and penalties for failure to obey the law.

Most times parks are town or city property, which is private property if there is a sign that says no parking after a certain time, then they will tow your car.

it could be if the park is completely fenced in and a sign posted with the opening hours.

the but part - if the park is not fenced in it is a simple trespass.

the kicker is the sign - if nothing is posted you cannot trespass.

in either case it is a misdemeanor so the earth is not going to stop rotating.
