Can anyone tell me about the individual rights of the victims of the death penalty? Thanks.

The only people put to death who are "victims" are the wrongly convicted. Everyone else is just being denied what they do not deserve.

Define the vicitms you are referring to. "Victims of the death penalty" is a bit of a misnomer. Usually the person who befalls the death penalty is guilty of one of two crimes-treason or murder in the first degree.

The convict being sentenced has the right to appeal and in some states the right to choose the method of their execution.

The murder victims have no rights because they are no longer alive to demand their rights. It falls to the victim's family to make sure justice is done.

The families of the murdered people can plead for life sentences instead of the death penalty and the judge will usually grant their wish.

I might be able to help you but I need to know what your specific question(s) are. By "victims of the death penalty", are you talking about the perpetrator of the crime or the real victim, the survivors of the crime?
