Use a sharp new razor blade, and lots of shaving cream, then use baby powder afterwards. I dont' think you can avoid getting bumps all together, but you can certainly contain them so that you only get a few.

Well, the rumor has it that they say to shave the hair in the direction it grows. Unfortunately, you don't get all the hair either. Shaving against the way it grows gets all the hair but can cause bumps. It's kind of a no win situation with shaving. I have learned baby powder helps after I shave. There are over the counter ointments you can put on after you shave to avoid the bumps. Try that also. I know it's sold at CVS. Good luck to ya!

The same way a guy shaves - pull the skin tight and be VERY careful.
There are also some very good electric shavers out there now.

I've tried numerous ways...waxing and shaving. Lately Ive been using lotion depilatory stuff specially for bikini area. I agree with the other person who said it is a no win situation... it is great for like a day...then it sucks.

wet shave and moisturize after will reduce the bumps but not all. repeat in a couple of days the more you do the easier it gets
