I have often felt the same way at times. I'm sure this life that I'm leading isn't exactly what God had in mind for me. I don't know though.
I definitely think you could become Amish though. You would just have to find a community to join. And, as others have already stated, be sure you're ready to make that kind of commitment. You will not be bored though...you will be so busy doing everything for yourself, that you won't have time to be bored. Whenever you may have a rare moment of time, you'll be happy to lie on the grass and stargaze or read a book. I live in Southeastern Ohio and there are quite a few Amish around here...(Amish actually bought my deceased grandfathers farm). As a matter of fact, my family and I just saw some fishing this evening...so you'd have that to do as well.
And as far as your race/culture, I think the majority of Amish people are good and aren't taught racism or prejudice...so they would treat you as one of their own.
Good luck with your decision.

Oh God your problems I should have. Amish do you know what kind of a boring life style that is?
No cars, no buses, only transportation is the horse and the wagon.
No radio, No TV no phone calls. No electricity.
All you do is pray, prepare meals for the family, work the farms and that is it.
Now you think your life is boring? I bet they would wonder about theirs?

You don't = not if you want to have a life. If you are bored now, believe me becoming Amish will leave you in a permanant state of coma.

join an amish community. just remember, there are absolutely NO modern items in use by the amish. no radio, tv, phone, electricity, etc. they still use horse-drawn buggies to get around, have religious services regularly, sell only those thing they make themselves, use only those things they make themselves and, overall, live in a standard that was common over 150 years ago!

Or you could move to France.
French technology is similar to having none at all.
