Two nights ago, I had a dream of an old friend. I have not seen or spoken with her in about two years, before the hurricane Katrina. Today I got an e-mail from her. Coincidence or prophecy?

well my sis takes phycology class, i dont but ill give it a shot.
Well if you are not religious id have to say coincidence. But maybe it was a message sent from god. (dam that sounds cheesy)

Could be either one. I used to work with the public and pretty often I would think of a customer I hadn't seen in a long time (sometimes a year or so.) Sure enough within a week or two that person would show up. Coincidence or esp

It is a thing Carl Jung termed Synchronicity manifesting itself in your life. Synchronicity is simply a coincidence with too much spiritual or psychological significance to the observer to be simply coincidence. Look it up. If you research it a little bit you can see "god" or the universe (however you choose to view it) speaking to you in your every day life. You get back what you put out, so just be mindful of that and realize that your dream was partly the fact that things resonate throughout the universe so you knew on some deep subconscious level that she was going to contact you and partly the cause for her contacting you.

It happens to me all the time.
Your brain is much more intelligent than you realise. Normal humans use 3%-5% of their brain capacities. Einstein used 8%.
The human brain has the capability of picking up certain wibes you are not even aware of. It works the same way as light, sounds and beat. Your heart beats so it has a cerain wibe. Your brain actually has a wibe and frequency as well. It is not that easy to track as the heart but it is still there.
The person may have been thinking or talking about you and your brain may have picked up on that wibe/frequency what your friend's brain gave out.
It is a very common phenomenon and has been proven by scientists, researchers and latest technology.
Very interesting, though.
Pretty similar thing when you mention someone's name and suddenly the person appears from out the blue.

When we interact with someone who matters to us..makes a difference..as in real friendship..cords are established.
The cords can and do awaken after sleep or dormancy when there is need..This energetic link as active enables subtle communication..and not so subtle as in waking sleep or dream...when we can sometimes become aware we are in converstation with another.
No co-incidence..simply an energetic link activated..and to find as this shows the cord is strong and vibrant.
Often these cords are very dominant in relationships and we are easily aware of them...
There is so much we may with our logical minds call co-incidence..however nothing is as it seems..

According to Neji Hyuuga, it was god and destiny that made your friend e-mail you. So in other words, it is pretty much prophecy.

Perhaps you should ask your friend if anything prompted her to e-mail you. Things could be working together on both ends.
