While it's not entirely impossible... it's highly unlikely. Some OBGYN's prescribe it solely for preventing pregnancy.
If you are worried, ask your OBGYN for more information and use a backup (condom/instead) until you are comfortable.

The likelyhood of you ovulating while taking it is very very low. It is a synthetic progesterone and that is the hormone that is produced after ovulation to signal the ovaries to not release any more eggs and to thicken the lining of the uterus. However, if you ovulated right before you started the course of medroxyprogesterone and managed to coneive then in all likelyhood the fertilized egg wouldn't be able to implant into the uterus and would be washed away when the withdrawl bleed came after the pills.
