Not even Bush believes in them enough to close the borders. It has been almost 6 years since 9-11 and the borders are wide open. All terrorists need to do is come in through MExico as mentioned by the US government itself which talks a lot about it when it comes to giving contracts to their buddies to spend US taxes on this war and not a cent to actually secure America in reality.

Read this well. Just imagine you are a "terrorist" with hundreds of millions at your disposal and a legion of thousands. Don't you think you can easily get into the US with forged documents and buying people off? The point: the "terrorism" that Bush is referring to just does not exist. By the way...what happened to the loads of "terrorist cells" Bush claimed there was after 9-11. Did they all run away? Did they all get caught?

Adolph Hitler once claimed that if you could instill fear in the minds of the citizenry, you could control the citizenry. George W. Bush has used Hitler's tactics to convince many gullible Americans that an 'evil empire' is out to get us, when - in fact - the "evil empire" is a creation of George W. Bush. -RKO- 05/23/07

In Orwell's 1984 novel, war is peace according to Big Brother. In it The Ministry of Peace maintains the illusion of perpetual warfare to prevent the masses from uniting against the system, and to keep them dependent upon the Party for "security". It is the pretext for more control and greater extortion, and serves to keep the masses impoverished. Each of the global power blocs operates under the same system of control. The so-called renegade leaders are merely puppets. With the masses divided by fear and living in poverty, the global oligarchs rule them undisturbed. Much like the war on terror. The government uses the threat of terrorism to create fear and keep us dependent on them. Make us believe that we need things like the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, and greater executive authority for security against the terrorists, all the meanwhile greatly expanding governmental control into our lives. They scare everyone into believing we need to build a fence, militiarize our borders, carry National ID cards, and allow cameras to be set up all over the place. You know what's funny, Hitler and Stalin said the samething. We forget that a fence can work both ways, it can keep people out. However, it can also keep people in. Eventually, through the fear the government creates we allow them do intrude more and more into our lives until we have no more freedoms. This is why the government needs these terrorists, and why the American people are naive enough to believe them. If we are not careful 1984 will find us.

Yes, I believe there are terrorists. We all saw their dirty work on 911. We are supposed to believe that as long as we have a military presence in Iraq, the terrorists won't come here. Since it only took 19 of them to pull off 911, I find his reasoning to be bit of a fairytale.

Either president Bush has lost touch with reality or he thinks everybody else has. I heard they are reinstating the same express visa program that some of the hijackers used to get into the U.S. and, as you pointed out, the borders are open. Meanwhile, we are all under surveillance. Its getting pretty hard to swallow.

An excellent observation.
Perhaps there is some good logic in bringing the fight to them, rather than sitting around and waiting for the next 9/11.

Are you that deluded to believe there AREN'T terrorists?

You're obviously not from the military, you obviously haven't had thousands of rounds of bullets fired at you nor been in direct line of an RPG or Mortar. You haven't seen the rape and murder first hand on deployment...

The second you withdraw from the likes of mid east, they will be on your doorstep.

Silly silly person...

Well I do believe that there are terrorists. The World Trade Center didn't fall on its own, terrorists had to plant all those bombs in it.

Bush lives in la-la land.
I'll bet you will believe in them just before they cut off the heads of your children!
