Happiness first comes from within and not from another. I believe that a person should love themselves first and then love others. I was married for 7yrs to the wrong man. It took me a while to get over being alone but it feels great now. I do have a special someone in my life yet he is at a distance. I am happy both ways.

I've been single for way too long now. I wish I had girlfriend that I could go to the movies with or just do nothing with, together. Life isn't the same doing everything by yourself and even your friends can't be there all the time.

Nice question!
However I am still 'married' but living on my own. I can hang in my "unders' (sorry to offend) when I choose! Sleep as late as I want on weekends! Watch what I like on TV! What could be finer? Pizza 7 days a week, (not for real, but it could be).
Marriage is a wonderful opportunity but it's not right for everyone.
My ex and I are still the very best of friends! We communicate daily.
None the less - I would still like to have that 'Someone special' in my life - right now.
Me thinks we all would!

Its easier to be single and happy then married and miserable. It can work out that way so many of my friends tell me. Must be so, judging by the divorce rate.
Many times that special someone turns out to be the person from hell in time.

That is quite a question.
I have been single for a long time. I tasted everthing for being a single woman. Bad and good. Sour and sweet. like one of good is I am free to do things when no one is beside me. I mean when I don't need this HIM for opinion or availability. say when I want to travel, I just pack up an go without reporting to someone who would always pop up questions like, why you go there? who you go with?when you come back? I am aware this is consideration is necessary. but it also nag my mood all gone. so, no, thanks.
There is also the time when we feel lonely and sick, trouble at work, and disire to be listend to. and then, it'd be better someone was there for you.
What I really mean is things are dual nature. Be clear to youself what you really need, then go get them.

Being single gives us a lot of freedom to do what we wanted to do.But sometimes,at the end of the day,we feel alone and lonely, that we need someone, who we can share our life with.Life is a constant proccess of interaction between each other, either we like it or not we always need somebody to be on our side.NO MAN IS AN ISLAND,right?

Unless I am secretly in love with someone, I am happy being single. If I have a crush, then I want to be with that person and I am not so happy, but mostly, I am a happy loner...

Sometimes I wants someone special, most of the time I am more than happy not tied down. So many divorces these days.
