I agree. A look at the history of mankind will show that we corrupt ourselves more and more as time progresses. History repeats itself so eventually, we'll corrupt ourselves right into a major crisis.

I agree with you! Bush and all the major dudes of the world are taking orders from another dude.. kazaar's or something like that.
Jimmy hendrix and Janice Joplin were assassinated because of this one dude who thought that they were making the world a better place or something and that was quite a while ago and now Bush is making up stories of weapons of destruction and is at war with iraq again! for the same damn reason... I have other conspiracies and whatnot too but nevermind that ****. This world was doomed from the start. Unless we, the ones who know the truth and want to make this world better, all come together and get that plan together.
I know that the world was corrupt from the start but it is getting worse. We are all getting brainwashed.

Yeah, I totally agree, but I hope with this next generation things will change.
If you think about, the generation in power has a lot to do with the condition of the world.
No offense to all you baby boomers, but I think once they leave power the corruption will slow and the focus will be less on money and power. One the Y or the "next'' generation comes to power, which are the 1990s, the focus will go more towards the environment, and elimination of things like diseases and poverty, and will go more towards the benefit of the whole world and less money grubbing! I also think it will be a generation of new fuel sources and technology and even political parties working together, not the mudslinging!
so, you know, maybe there is hope yet!

Wrong. The world is as corrupt as its always been.
Although I must say Bush, his administration and the Congress have broken quite a few records with regards to corruption lately.
Especially the Congress, with regards to the Income Tax. Do you realize that there is NOT ONE person in Washington D.C. who knows and understands the totality of the tax code? Theres so many exceptions and loopholes that were written in by corrupted Congresspeople working for lobbyists and corporations its not even funny. In the words of my candidate for President, Mike Gravel; "Its probably the most corrupt system of taxation we could devise!"

Yes and no
I think it goes through phases and that we are in a downward spiral right now -
The last days of the Roman Empire were filled with all the stuff we see today
It is the same thing over and over we never learn
One generation gets worse and worse until it snaps back and is far too strict - then slowly it lapses until it gets in the middle again - Then it continues to lapse for a few more until we see what we do today
it will snap far to far back the other way and then in 100 years or so it will begin to slide back
So yes and no

I don't think that is more corrupt but its just more visible. We have in the past had evil so prevalent as we do today it just wasn't spoken about or it was covered up. Today people are out there being blunt that they are doing evil things. There are those that try to hide it but the truth is with technology getting so advanced your secrets are very rarely secrets for long.

I do not. Your perspective is limited to your experiences in this world. Since you have not lived through out the history of mankind, your preposition is not really a valid one. The world has known many dark ages, i mean literally. Periods of time where man had absolutely no respect for life and war and disease ruled society. We have come along way and still have a long way to go. In perspective things are getting better! but we still have work to do.

nah. corruption has always existed. Just look at Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Bibical times, European Kings, Queens and other leaders...
If anything we are less corrupt than before. Think about it, do you know anyone more corrupt than Brutas? Benedict Arnold? King Henry VIII? Hitler?
