Might not be a good idea to be in open water while on your period. I don't know where you live, but out here we have alligators that don't really bother people but then, I don't know how many women swim while menstruating. I had heard on the news last year that a woman in Florida had been attacked by a shark while swimming in the ocean for that reason.....don't know if gators react the same but better safe than dinner...
