With the overwhelming presence of dark energy, it looks like that. We may be heading for the big rip instead (and that is perhaps more troublesome actually)

At this time I can honestly report to you that the theory is a valid one and only time will tell if it is correct or not. Get back to me in another four billion years and I will let you know if it was right or not. That does not make allowance for the possible effect of Hillary Clinton's election to President of the United States in 2008. If that sorry event takes place, we can pretty much kiss all of our back sides good bye, and we had better all learn to speak Chinese.
