Why didn't Fantasia perform with the past American Idols tonight? I've only been watching for the last half hour and I didn't hear them give a reason.

She is on Broadway performing in the Color Purple.

I know she is in a play in New York, the color Purple next month, I am going to see her. That could be the reason.
