not because I couldn't afford it anymore, but because I moved across the country I had to get rid of my 2 dogs and cat. they are still in the family however.

If people truly loved their pets as much as others love their children, they wouldn't get rid of them. Besides, a child is more expensive than a dog/pet is anyway.
However; as for myself, and my 3 dogs and 2 cats, .........I'd sell one of my Kidneys to take care of my Dogs & Cats. I'd cut any "want" and sell my belongings to keep my pets, because no one could or ever would love them as much as I do, and I am going to see them through until they perish.
I want the last thought that goes through their mind when they draw their last breath to be of pure comfort to know that they were loved with all of my heart and that I spared no expense to make sure they had the best life here on this earth.
As a 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran living alone, I have been blessed with the company of 2 Great Shepherds, (Zuma and Jinny) and 1 Female Rottweiler (Sonya) and 2 Extra Cool Cats (Spanky and Vader) and I wish I could take almost anyone's pets they need to give up long enough to find a good home for them.

We're selling our ferrets because one is vicious but we dont want to break them up because theyve been together since they were 2 weeks old. It wouldnt be so bad having a ferret that likes to bite peoples legs except we have a 2 year old. The ferret has never broken skin, but when it goes after our daughter she gets scared and starts to cry.

I would never get rid of my 2 cats they are my children, me and my husband even went as far as moving them across the country when we moved from Oregon to Texas. I would never give them up no matter what they cost cause they are like my kids.

I have a cat that is high maintenence, ..he is my companion for many years...a member of the family...at times affordability can be tough, but i would never cast him, because i couldnt afford him...i merely take something from myself, to maintain him.

I'd probably get rid of my apartment before getting rid of my kitty. He and I would live on the street...or in the woods. Good times!

sorry, but how much can your doggy eat? I mean even if you buy the expensive stuff, that's pretty sad. I'm like the guy above-- I hope you don't have any kids (they're REALLY expensive)
