I have a question. I found someone posing as me and there is a naked picture of me that is not mine. I am wondering what I can do. they have that up and are making me appear as some type or escort. I am soooo scared someone is going to find this. I don't want my rep to be damaged. I live in a small town and it could easily be found by someone. I don't know who would do this but I have tryed contacting myspace and no one will reply. Seriously. I don't know if they are dead or what, but I need to get this off. I am seriorosly freaking out. I dont know what to do:/ I am ready to find myspace headquarters and drive up there to fix this. can someone tell me what to do.. or someone work for myspace that could help me. Please

I can't do **** about it unless someone can contact me and delete the account. I don't have the email address or the password because I did not create the account. someone else did!!!!

Well duh Lisa, contact the person YOU allowed to have a naked pic of you & request they remove it! Or do too many people have the pic so you don't know who to contact?

On the bottom of the page, click contact Myspace. Then where it says contact request, pull down abuse, then Impostor profile. You have legal rights (you can sue for libel) against the abuser (NOT myspace) I would print out pages. It will take some time, they have to verify that you are who yo say you are, that the other "person" is not a real person. NO, its not instant, there are thousands of little babys who need to grow up. They are too chicken to face you, they have to libel you annonymously. It was probably an ex boyfriend or a girl that is jealous of you. In the meantime, you can ALSO report the picture as offensive, that will get it pulled faster than the identity libel way

You go to the help section and see a page that is related to this issue. I forgot the specifics but you send an email with a picture of you holding a sign of your myspace page link or something like that, you do not send it to Tom but the myspace people/offices. I posted a link below.

Someone is pretending to be me - what do I do?

Solution:

In order to verify your identity, please send us a "salute":

This means we will need an image of yourself holding a handwritten sign with the word "MySpace.com" and your Friend ID (your Friend ID number appears immediately after "friendID=" in the web address/URL when viewing your profile). We can then remove the profile that uses your identity without your permission.

Please be sure to include the web address/URL to the profile in question when you send your salute.

If the profile is an extremely obvious attempt to be cruel/false, you may not need to send a salute. Sending a salute will help expedite things, though!

contact myspace via this link with your proof or if you can't make a salute, let them know about the inappropriate image and they will probably delete the account anyway. http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=misc.contactInput&primarySubject=2&secondarySubject=9

*in responce to your update*

you HAVE to follow these steps or nothing will be done about your problem. everything has a process that has to be followed and one of the untold steps is to be patient. you have two choices, ignore it - or wait for the myspace team to get around to your case. there are plenty of people every day who have problems that have to be addressed. give them a chance to do their job.

as i told you already, this is how these situations are handled. they WILL handle it and correct the problem but you will have to prove to them that those are your pictures and you did not create this profile. make sure that you let them know about the nude photo. this is against myspace policy and that will at least be removed.

You made the proper alternative with contacting Myspace. It, nevertheless, isn't a police subject as they have got performed not anything improper together with your knowledge. Be definite to be at the seem out regardless that together with your bank cards and different private knowledge. And attempt to watch what you set for your web page or how a lot knowledge you percentage with different's on the net.

well, I don't think you can really do anything, but I suggest you mail the myspace and tell them to stop.
Threaten them and say you'll call the cops if they don't delete it.
works everytime[;
