"and like someone said above me, why pay for something that is free."

The free programing in my opinion just sucks. the biggest reason satellite is better is it's not censored. The music is a lot better, with a much wider variety of styles/genres. FM radio is all top 40 same songs 12 times a day crap.I don't mind the small fee to be free, to listen to what I want to hear. And Sirius just made it better with an all Grateful Dead channel.

Anyone who thinks you can get the same thing for free is dead wrong. There is nothing on regular FM like satellite.

Lets compare.

100% Commercial free music (with variety) - Nope
Howard Stern - Bubba - and Ferrall - Nope
Nascar - Nope
NFL (including broadcasts of every game during the season) - Nope
Traffic & weather reports for any city you may be in - Nope
Abality to drive across the country without having to search for a decent station - Not a chance.
Freedom from the FCC - yeah right

Now, if I could get all this for free, I would not have two subscriptions.

Also, anyone who would not pay for a service that is available for free, you better get rid of your cable boxes. But somehow I think these people would admit that pay tv is not even close to the same as free TV. Same thing with pay radio. There is no comparison. Satellite rules. And for a whopping price of a stamp per day, you would agree too.

I have none. but that is only because I work at a radio station and I pretty much have to listen to music while at work, therefore the only other time I can/or want to listen to music is when I am in the car and like someone said above me, why pay for something that is free. Some people say that satellite radio is trying to put dj's out of a job, but I believe AM/FM will be around for a long time.

I have 2, a stiletto and a starmate. I would rather pay for satellite radio than have to listen to free FM.

None, nada, zip, zero.

Why should I pay for what is being given away for free?
