I would NEVER abandon Firefox , but FYI everyone, I got the Browser from a hack CD that is brand new and current which contains a OS install setup for CPU complete w/ the toys needed for any and everything. ie Media, Reg. cleaner, defrager, codec pack, etc normally I would have skipped the other add ons completely, but the hacker that put thy CD together had every BEST available sofware option, such as one for media that hardly anyone knows of. and some other hard to find programs that i prefer. so i decided it must be worth checking out. It really seems to be REALLY REAALY nice though. and I HIGHLY doubt it has anything to do w/ M'soft

It is based on Internet Explorer so it has the weaknesses of IE.

You also have to worry where your next update is going to come from.

I would stick with Firefox. That is where IE is drawing its latest "innovations" from (like tabbing that is a steal from the previous version of Firefox). It is also the one with the deepest support since it is open source and has many people contributing to it.

Maxthon is what you would call a shell browser for Internet Exploder; however, unlike other shell browsers it can also use the Gecko engine that Firefox uses.

I too love Firefox. Never use Maxthon Browser but it seems that it is also a browser with tabbed browsing feature.

Never heard of it. I would not be surprised if it included spyware, adware, or hijacking properties.
I'm convinced that Firefox and Internet Explorer are the number 1,2 browsers. Firefox 2.0 is especially amazing since it has that restore feature
