Have you ever heard of the condition where a person is born without the ability to feel pain? Without that sensation, we don't know what is hurting us. Now, I know you are talking about emotional pain, but I'm trying to make a point to a balance here.

It is inevitable that we have periods in out lives where we suffer. I think you are alluding to when people dwell in suffering, to an extreme, where it is not within normal limits to which most people feel. There is a spectrum, and finding balance within our emotions is key. One cannot avoid pain, in that context, people cannot face emotional work they need to do...like grieving a loss, or realizing when they need personal growth and change. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are those that perpetrate pain upon themselves, a self deprecating behavior.

I think there are a lot of theories about why this may be, but what I know is that it is an odd trait of humans. For instance, when a person is abused as a child, often they grow to embrace damaging behavior toward themselves, and place themselves around others who will abuse them again. This sort of reaction may be due to damage during development of the psyche, persona and spirit. We as people are delicate, emotional beings...and a lot of us do things to try and convince ourselves of the opposite. I am pretty convinced that the pain we see in world conflicts is a reflection of how we deal with fear. People are afraid of not living up to their expectations of themselves, they may feel they won't be loved if they don't have beauty, wealth, power, social status. Why are those things so important in the grand scheme? I think this is from a lack of direction spiritually. Instead of embracing the idea that together, as a race, we can provide for ourselves, get along, love each other and ourselves...we succumb to fear of one another and fear that we cannot survive, with meaning, if we do not aggressively pursue things that appear to make us more powerful. This is a fabricated construct, based heavily from denial...and soaked in, again, fear.

So, why do we perpetrate unnecessary pain upon ourselves? Fear...fear of mortality, fragility and fear of meaning nothing to the universe.

:-)

Have faith, believe, trust and love yourself. Accept life on life's terms and value what natural gifts we have, instead of creating the material world we don't need. If each person could do that....harmony would naturally fall into place, the whole world through...

People seem to think that you can't allow yourself to be TOO happy in this life or you'll miss out on the chance for eternal happiness later. They equate some of the things that make people happy with "sin" which is acting against God's wishes. However, since no one has ever spoken to God (and if you think a 2000+ year old book written by bronze age nomads is a valid source of information get your head checked) then no one really knows what he does or does not want (if he even exists). So, I say, as long as it's within reason, as in, killing people doesn't make you happy, and so on, go ahead and feel happy. Don't let others tell you that you can't or shouldn't be either.

Pain is always there even during your happy moment. the problem is that during sad times we "feel" the pain more. we focus on pain so much that we "without knowing" get to realise that we don't have anything else to think about other than pain.

Yes, put your life together & find happiness inside any day, a sad, happy, exciting, intersting, dark, or whatever day. YOU can make yourself even enjoy the sadest moment or ruin the happiest moment, its how you see things around.

You, the person, is the only constant of your life, everything around you keeps changing, so YOU, the person, need to find happiness within all these changing varialbles around you.

Change is part of life & those who fail to understand that fact spend their days in sadness trying to remember the happy days. You need to change with the changing life to find your happiness in any environment ....or create it!

cheers,

life is a beautiful Journey, see the beauty around you in everything you see and do.
We ourselves create our world, we make choices that determine the direction inwhich we travel. Without the hardships and suffering we would not be able to recognise the beauty and wonder of life itself, we need those polar extremes, Happieness is empty without pain to recognise the difference. how is one even supposed to know what happieness is if there is nothing to compare it with..... remember that from the hardest pains and woes, in our lives, come our greatest strengths and wisdoms, we learn to grow and adapt when things go pear shaped, instead of shying away from obvious dilemars in life, face them, look at them with new eyes, see the new opportinities that arise from the depths of pain. I suggest that when things get bad, and i promise they will (for that is life) take the time out to reconnect with nature, see the bigger picture, remember that everything no matter how good or how bad it is, is infact divine.... perfectly so!
be comfortable in the knowledge that everything you experience within your life is what your spirit needed to grow and advance.
You are more then you realise you are, we are all one 'god' refracting throughtout the universe, simaltaniously experienceing the wonder of our creation, in as many possible ways as we can, all connected.
each of us is an expression of creation, each living a life of experiences.... when we die we return to the source... (god) we share our thoughts of life and its lessons with ourself. god, for that is why we created this in the first place, we did for us all, no one being any more important or less important then anyone else, it is up to you to get as much out of your time on this plain as you can, if your unhappy, then fix it, you and you alone control how you feel and what your giong to do about it!!

I think a lot of people thrive on the negative. It's amazing to see how they constantly draw the drama to them. I don't know why but wanted to comment. Life will always have problems but if you know the solutions you're halfway there.

Because we don't accept what IS. Our ego says it "should" be different, thus creating our own pain.

So most of the time, fate control everything...
So it left to 100% pray
