Is it illegal for a 15 yr old and a 22 yr old to be together? Say this 15 yr old and 22 yr old are dating, no sex, parent permission, etc. Is this legal? Can the 22yr old have any charges pressed agianst him? On sort of the same topic, if they were having sex, is there ANY way the 22 yr old could get off-parent permission, love, etc.? AND this is all coming from the mouth of the 15 yr old just to let you know. Please no rude comments (ex. he should be locked up, that's gross, etc.). Thank you!

Well it is very illegal for a 15 year old to be with a 22 year old but hey there is someone out there for everyone and age is just a number but if the parents are not happy with it get away before it is to late!
Good luck

No sex, yes it's legal. If they were to have sex. The 22 will be having sex with a minor and it would then be illegal. And yes the parents can press charges. Even if the parents approve. Say anything fishy were to happen to the 15 year old. The 22 year old would be the first one investigated. Permission from parents or not he will still be involved with a minor and that is considered illegal. I don't know what it is called but it's like taking advantage of a child.

On the subject of sex--it’s very illegal (in every state) for there to be sexual contact of any type--which is not limited merely to intercourse--and there is no way for him to ‘get off’. Even if your parents give him ‘permission’ to have sex with you (and what kind of parent would do that!), it makes no difference, because a parent cannot give their child, or their child’s boyfriend/girlfriend permission to break the law. They can’t give you permission to have sex any more than they could give you permission to go down and rob the local bank.
On the subject of dating--there are no laws in any state regarding dating. But since you are a minor, your parents have the right to determine who you are allowed to spend time with. As long as your parents are okay with you dating, it’s *technically* legal. However, be aware that there will be plenty of people who will not look on this relationship favorable. And ANYONE who believes that there is inappropriate activity going on (ie ANY sexual contact—including something as simple as him patting you on the butt) can report it. If it gets reported, it’ll be investigated, and that will lead to everyone involved being asked some very serious questions, including your parents (for why they allowed it in the first place).
You are playing with fire, and usually when you play with fire you get burned.

Very fine line here but not good situation. If something was happening he could be charged with statutory rape ( shoe off while in same car), contributing to the delinquicy, sexual predator/molestation, etc. No such thing as parental permission here. Parents could possibly be charged as an accessory to the fact if they did nothing to stop this relationship. Unless something actually happens not much legally can be done here, sorry

Weither you have parental permission or not he can still go to jail if the state catches wind of it. If you guys really love each other he will wait until yuo are at least 16 to do anything with you. At 16 you are a little closer to an adult. Why would your parents let you be with an adult????? Are they good parents active in your life or are they the kind that just let you do whatever and dont care. Not trying to be rude hon just trying to see. I myself am a parent and i would never let my child be with an adult until they were of age. I guess maybe i dont understand but you need to be careful becuase yes he can still go to jail if the state sees fit.

In most states its illegal for a person to have sex with a minor ,
wich you are if you are 15. I think your parents should take a GOOD look at this situation and I'm not trying to be rude but why don't you look for someone closer to your age, some one with the same interests and what not

For my opinion i don't think a 15 yr old and a 22 yr old should be dating. One reason is because one is more mature than the other meaning if argument happen. The parent will think that that person is going to be abusive and report. But, if you really love each other they should as long as no sex is involved I'm okay with it. But, it will be weird.

Such a thing is called pedophilia. Tell your parents, because there is no way they would approve such a thing. Fifteen year olds, although they are mentally/physically developed, they are often emotionally unstable because they lack confidence, or some other reason. They can be easily manipulated to believe whatever is told to them, and so are subject to such predators. Stay away from this person, child. You do not know how dangerous this is. This person may pretend to love you, but your life can be in great danger.
