Well, there is the good old San Andreas fault line, so even scientists believe that could someday happen. See if you can dig up the old film called "The Jupiter Menace". It has some psychic and scientific info along this line, tho a lot of it is now out of date.

Well no but some scientists predict that a very long time from now, everyone west of the San Andreas fault will be up near Alaska. Either way, I'm getting a good climate change. I could use some water or some snow.
If global warning keeps up, Florida will go down like Atlantis, though.

From what I understand of the situation Southern California is not "going down like Atlantis." What is happening is that those parts of California West of the San Andreas Fault are headed North for Alaska at a few inches a year.

We talked about this in my Biology 102 class last semester. The only way that Southern California could "fall" into the ocean is if the continents were floating on top of the world's oceans like algae. (This is the old continental drift theory). However, because scientists have proven that the continents we see are actually the plates of the Earth peeking through the oceans and that they move and shift (plate tectonics), the act of California "falling" into the ocean would be entirely impossible.

Hah.
Sorry.
Just turn to predictors than scientists who actually know what they are talking about :)

So. Cal isn't going to break off. It's always a part of California. Sure the water is rising...an inch a year?

We can only hope and pray it happens. It may be the only good effect of global warming.
