Right now just surfing the internet its running at 41 degrees Celsius. I just installed a brand new (Really nice) cooler for my CPU. I was gaming (Oblivion) for about 5 minutes, and the CPU got up to 45 degrees Celsius. Im thinking this is a bit too hot just for gaming for only 5 minutes.

Oh by the way Im running a AMD 3800 X2. The cooler I just installed is this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134). I just wanna make sure that everything will remain stable.

That temp is fine. This is a much better cooling solution.

It's not usual for processors to run hot and 40 C is probably in the right range. Temperature will vary according to power usage and therefore, what is being run, somewhat surprisingly.

Ensure that there is nothing obstructing the airflow through the cabinet. If you have a laptop, ensure that, for example, if there is a bottom fan, it is not obstructed and dust/lint has not collected on it. The area by the exhaust for the air flow should be clear.

all CPU's should NOT run hotter than 220 F. that is the point at which you can probably start worrying about melt down. 230-240 kiss your processor goodbye.
