My daughter who is 15 months old has skin tags or something around the opening of her vagina. She has had them since she was born and her doctor said that they would go away in a couple of months yet they are still there. I have recently moved and my daughter doesnt have a new pediatrician yet and she doesnt need a checkup for a few months. So I am wondering what for sure it is, if it will go away, and if I should bring her to a doctor before her next checkup? Only serious answers please!

Since you moved I would find a new pediatrician and get their opinion. If nothing else it will make you feel better about everything.

Well, my opinion as a mother would be to take your daughter to another doctor as soon as you can. Your original doctor said that they would go away and they haven't yet so that would be the first indicator that maybe he/she didn't know for sure what they were. It may or may not be anything serious but in my experience it is better to be safe than sorry. Good luck with this and I hope everything turns out just fine.

If it were my daughter I would get her in to a different pediatrician. Some are lax on things and others are much more dilligent on finding a diagnoses. I know my boyf's daughter's first pediatrician was always putting things off. He let her go on speech, saying she'll get better everytime we took her in. He also said that not to worry about a cyst on her brother's neck from his ex wife's child. Month's later it turned out to be cancer. So Get her checked up at a diff doctor .

They could just be skin tags. She may have been born with a type of HPV. If she has had them since birth then Im sure she is fine. I think you can wait until her next checkup. Good luck!

I would bring her to the new Ped as soon as possible. My grandson has Plagiocephaly (flat head) and his Ped kept saying he would 'round out'. It got worse and worse. I had to take him in for a cold one day and he saw another Ped in the practice. She freaked when she saw his head and prescribed a cranial remolding device. He has worn it for three months and his head is almost perfect now. Had I waited until his next appointment, the old Ped may have told us that it was nothing to worry about again. We almost missed the window of opportunity and his head could have stayed deformed because of it. All Peds are different and sometimes one has more knowledge than another. I hope that you do take her in for an exam just to find out if it is indeed skin tags. Good Luck!

I believe she is fine. You can always go to a new Pediatrician even though she isnt due for a few months, if there is anything that will ease your mind this would be it. They have no choice but to understand. Personally I wouldnt worry about it. Good Luck

Unless the tags are causing problems, just leave it go until her 18 mo check up. As for getting a new doctor, I would look now and then meet a few. You don't want to be stuck with whoever has an opening if she gets sick. Hope that helps.

there is an herb called plantain (not the bananas) you're able to purchase it at your community well being nutrition keep in bulk. it extremely is remarkable for epidermis issues and intensely soft. I placed a bottle of vaseline in a double broiler and soften it down and upload a pair of million/2 cup of plantain and then permit it simmer for approximately 20 min till the vaseline has grew to become eco-friendly. tension the plantain out and placed it decrease back in to the vaseline bottle and label it nicely. After it cools purely placed slightly round her lips. one in all my acquaintances used this on her grand daughters eczema and the toddler calls it the magic drugs now.

I didn't have any as a child but about 1 1/2 years ago I got one down there right on my underwear line. It really hurt because the elastic from my underwear would rub it so I had it frozen and sniped. (not the best feeling) but I haven't had a problem since. I would ask your new doc and see if you could have them removed! Good luck!!
