Doppler is a RADAR system. This means that RF radiation exposure is extremely high. RF radiation can cause third and fourth degree burns and even death. Do not attempt to enter a Doppler radar enclosure without proper escort and assuring that the system will not be accidentally activated while you are in close proximity to it.
Again this is a radar system that emits extremely high levels of RF radiation and will cause burns and death if you come in contact with or are in close proximity to the transmitting antenna.

I do not think that entering into any active weather radar dome, whether it is a Doppler or not, is a good idea. There is a reason why the current 88D Doppler, and the old 57S, 74C, and the one and only 100s (Victoria) weather service radars were always ordered to be power down before anyone is allow to climb the radar tower. I do not think it is safe to be inside one . period.

i would not want to attempt it. you are going to be exposed to something with some force of some kind. do you want to be a rat? I bet that thing takes a lot of electric energy to be able to process the info it collects. call your local tv station and ask the weather person the question. they will at least get a good laugh. be careful!

I wouldn't think so. Back when radar was new and used on ships in close proximity to sailors in much larger doses than are generally used today, the most interesting thing to happen was that they said they could hear it. That shouldn't be possible... what they were hearing were cells in their brains resonating.... um... So, perhaps while you wouldn't immediately vaporize, it might not do anything good for you.
Why don't you ask your local weatherman? Please don't try it yourself.
