they have to be the best big 3 playing in the nba right now
and will be in the top 10 of all big 3 groups in the history especially if they win another championship

and to clear somthing up the announcers during the game wasn't saying that they are the best big 3 ever

he was saying that the spurs big 3 are clearly dominating the best 3 players for the jazz this series

Best big three active right now? You bet. There are many equally potent offensive 1-2 combinations like Carmelo and A.I., Kobe & Odom, Yao & McGrady (don't blink- he's healthy) but nobody else has a player like Manu Ginobli as their #3 option, and none of other combos defend and execute in the clutch like the Spurs.

And Duncan is just so consistent, he just doesn't have many off nights.

The only other comparable 3 currently is Nash, Stoudemire and Marion, but their defense isn't in the same league. Kidd, Carter and Jefferson- a step slow & way too inconsistent.

The Warriors don't have a legitimate low-post threat. I will grant you that Detroit's big 3 is equally productive and plays smart under pressure, but they're not as talented. I'll take Manu and Duncan over Prince and 'Sheed anyday.

I agree they'll be counted among the top 10 big 3's of all time, maybe even the top 5. But that's some elite company with Jordan/Pippen/Rodman, Magic/Kareem/Worthy, Bird/McHale/Parish and Doc/Moses/Toney.

Those three ARE the best ACTIVE right Now. Of the ACTIVE 4 teams they are dominating the boards as well as the defense and clearly on their way to yet another CHAMPIONSHIP. And they are in the top 10 best , more like in the top 5 , particularly since they are still playing. The triplets mentioned in previous posts are great in their own right, however this SPURS group is not done yet and I don't impliy just this season.

NOTE to NICOLE: TIM who plays for the SPURS does have 2 MVP awards as well as 3 NBA championship MVPs
SO does DAVID ROBINSON, 1 MVP although retired

I'm honestly only answering to poke at Nicole B's answer. Did you notice at all that it says ACTIVE? And who can forget that Duncan is a 2 time MVP, just like Nash WAS? Amongst active "Big 3s", the one stated in the question is by far the best. Parker is the fastest guy left in the playoffs, Ginobili can take over a game at any point, and Duncan is simply Timmy. What more needs to be said?

i might take out ok-Mart on the Denver edge and put in the two Camby (who's a much extra valuable protecting participant) or Nene (who's the subsequent super potential forward). you in addition to mght forgot approximately Phoenix's vast 3 of Nash-Amare-Marion and Detroit's Billups-Hamilton-Rasheed. Boston's 3 muskateers are easily the main proficient with out question yet which vast 3 has the main chemistry. i will probable might desire to with San Antonio's trio of Duncan-Manu-Parker as having the main chemistry. you may no longer get from now on valuable than prevailing a championship.

I think they are the best three and have been for the last few years. Look @ the championships. Sure the nets have a good 3 as does phoenix but how many times have they won the ring. Manu, Tim, and Tony step up and win championships. Have they accomplished something? That's all that it comes down to.

Let me guess you also think Kobe is better than MJ?

In terms of best 3, they are pretty good, but best in
the NBA?
Right now I'd take Baron Davis, Jackson, and Richardson.
Davis is better than Parker, Jackson, is better than
Mano, Only catch is Duncan is really much better than
Richardson, not only that he is a center.
Titles don't always come to the best players, Barkley
dominated on the Dream Team in Olympics amongs the
best players, but in the NBA never had the supporting
cast to get the title.

haha ha ha. You're really funny. But actually, if I think about it they probably are. If it was big 2 no,but three, maybe. As much as I hate the Nets, three have a pretty big three. Too bad Carter gets more and more inconsistent every game and his field goal% is really bad. If they could actually win rings then they would be the best.

no definetly not, I believe that at their best point, the Suns, Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, and Amare Stoudemire are the best three in the NBA

They play such an exciting brand of basketball, and each of those three can do so much more than excite, they can also scrap, so that is why they are the best

not ever, but currently

The suns are beat then the spurs because we have two time MVP Steve Nash and the spurs do not have a mvp on there team. And just to say I hope the jazz beat the spurs in the playoffs.
