What are the best markets and factory outlets to check out in sydney?

Hi Trixi,
There are shopping tours that you can do around the east/south of Sydney that take you to 'factory outlets' there are also some in Homebush (Direct Factory Outlet www.dfo.com.au), Birkenhead Point and Haymarket, however, I have found that they really aren't worth bothering about. You are better off during sales, or just shopping around Pitt Street/QVB, much better selection (styles and sizes particularly) and prices aren't much better at the 'factory outlets'.

Foveaux St across the road from Central Station has a lot of factory outlets and there are more in Redfern.
