you may have a plugged up drain in your freezer, or a bad defrost timer or defrost element. with a ref that old i would recommend replacing it instead of repairing because it is at the age where it will be developing a lot of small problems that will wind up costing more than a new refer. also check the fan underneath to make sure it is blowing

possibly an improperly defrosted cooling coil due to faulty defrost heaters. Search for the defrost timer, and advance it to the next defrost period, after you have removed the back cover, and ensure the heaters are working properly. Also, a stopped up drain will cause water to hold in the freezer compartment and prematurely freeze the coil, causing poor performance. Dripping water is usually a symptom of this.

Given the limited information in your question, the possibilities are numerous. Provide much more detailed information and I can answer your question. For example, you could add the following information: Is the freezer above, along side, or below the refrigerator? Do you have water lines in the refrigerator for water or ice maker? Is it a frost free refrigerator/freezer? etc.

It sounds like you have a slow refridgerant leak. It cost more to charge I would look at a new fridge
