I don't like the name Jake. With a name like Jake, I think this kid will never be a bank president, doctor, lawyer, etc. Jake says to me that he will work in construction. Don't typecast him when he's little. How about a different name? How about Paxton. That says successful!
Jillian for a girl is a nice name.

Jake is authoritarian of man hood. A very strong masculine name. Select a middle name with few syllables to keep it sounding bold. Ex.) Jake Bryan
Jillian is nice but don't particularly care for it at all. Gillian?
Check out group below for some great ideas. Good luck in your search and Jake is a terrific name.

I think Jake is a good name but I would not pick Jillian for a girls name.

Love them both! Jake evokes an image of a strong guy and Jillian a very pretty, feminine girl.

Humm...they are both ok but, Jake is an old name, and when I hear Jillian it reminds me of Gilligans Island. o.O Sorry. If you like them then by all means dont listen to anyone else. This is YOUR child and you have to call it by that name, not everyone else. But you want an honest opinion...I personally would go with something more unique and up to date. Good luck to you have fun.

Jillian sounds so much like joy that it has a positive connotation. Jake seems too informal. It would make a handsome nickname. So why don't you name him Jakob or Jacob and call him Jake.
