Many cars have this feature so the engine will not over heat after shut down when they go into a "Heat Soak" period. They can run for as long as 7 minutes.

On some vehicles, this is by design to cool the engine down after running. This is called the hot soak period. If your car has just started doing this, then you may have a relay sticking causing the fans to not shut off.

Most electric radiator fans are on a thermostat and will keep running for a bit after the car shuts off. Once the temperature drops enough it will shut off.

to cool the radiator down, the fan can run even though the car is shut down.

Before getting a new radiator you mite want to look in to the fuse and relay center and find the fan relay jeeps are noted for overheating the fan relay and it could be stuck in the closed position. also check for a bad temp. sensor it also could be bad. Please do this before paying out all that money for a radiator.
