IRS will regulate activities that are even intruding into the honest citizens. The acts of the IRS must only be directed to illegals.

I think it has completely got out of hand. If taxes are due so be it. Why can't we just have an amount to pay? Why do we have to report every aspect of our lives to the government in order to pay taxes? And what happened to those paperwork reduction laws that were supposed to simplify things? If we scrapped the IRS, we could create a system that is economical and fair. Just try to work as a Consultant and see what that gets you, the IRS will be down your throat, and you end up paying more taxes than it's worth. Or become a Writer and have to pay an Accountant more than you are making. It's a rotten system that needs attention.

We can't get rid of it because you can't get enough people to get behind a movement to do so. Gravel is on the right track, but in a democracy, we don't have to wait until a president decides to do something to implement change.

Protest is a tool in a democratic society. Yes, there are all kinds of fanatics out there who would disagree with you, but you have the right to raise hell over things that are not right - like the unequal distribution of income in America. By that I mean that the Bush tax cuts resulted in:

George Bush's 2001 $1.3 Trillion tax cut was the largest in US history. The bar chart shows the percent share of the total cut by income group and the average yearly tax reduction. The Top 1 % got 37 % of Bush's tax cut with only 29 % going to the Bottom 80 %!!! The top-heavy distribution of the tax cut savings clearly shows that Bush works for the SuperRich, and that he is willing to promote their interests above those of all other Americans.

Until average Joes (bottom 80%!!) say/do something about it, it will continue - the rich have NO reason to support or help you and me. Please don't tell me that giving this much money to the rich helps the economy. It might help "the economy", but you need to ask "who's economy?"

Because Congress will not pass the Fair Tax. If we went to a consumption based tax system, the role of the IRS would be minimal. We could scrap about 62,000 pages of incomprehensible tax code, and the IRS wouldn't have time to harass anyone because they would be too busy counting the new tax revenue to bother with anything else.

We can. Support former Sen. Mike Gravel for President in '08.

He wants to get rid of the income tax and the IRS and replace it with a national sales tax called the Fair Tax (http://www.fairtax.org). You can read about the Fair Tax either on the Fair Tax website that I just gave you or on Gravel's campaign website.

a great variety of human beings are seeing a a million-2 week delay while comparing the WMR date to the refund cycle chart. maximum refunds are sent until now than the WMR date however the IRS continually exhibits the final available date. The IRS purely has extra returns in the 1st 2-3 weeks of e-document than what they could technique so there's a decrease back log. they are going to artwork via it quite at as quickly as. It has no longer something to do with the place you filed. Its organic success of the draw concerning while the IRS gets on your return yet they DO prioritize via while it replaced into filed. Your return is in a great team with tens of millions of returns submitted in the window of the 17 to 18th. you would be processed in the previous returns submitted on the nineteenth or later, yet interior that team of 17-18 submissions its purely success concerning who gets processed first.
