If you have abnormally light bleeding when you'd expect your period then pregnancy is possible. During the first three months of pregnancy, you may experience light vaginal bleeding. But – except in the rare circumstance of ectopic pregnancy – it's not a true period.
Spotting early in pregnancy can be confusing, however, especially if your menstrual flow is ordinarily light, and the bleeding coincides with the usual timing of your period. Here are some causes of normal spotting during the first trimester:
1. As the embryo is getting situated in the uterine lining, and the placenta begins to develop, the site where the embryo is attaching can bleed a little.
2. The blood supply to the cervix increases immediately when you become pregnant. The surface of the cervix is thin, and the pressure from the extra blood can make a few of the tiny blood vessels pop, causing slight bleeding.
3. The changes in the cervix can make it more sensitive to irritation from intercourse, and that can lead to a bit of bleeding. Pregnancy spotting is much lighter than what most women experience during their period, and it would last for fewer days than the typical period.
Hope this sheds some light on the subject for you!

Sometimes spotting instead of a period is a sign of pregnancy. Also, if you are pregnant and bleeding that is a sign of serious complications. I suggest you buy a test at your local store just to be sure because, if you worry too much about being pregnant, you might not be. Stress can cause a woman to skip her period.

I didn't, but a girlfriend did.
She had a light period for a couple of days and found out when her next period was due that she was eight weeks pregnant.
I would maybe do a pregnancy test (or blood test from the doctor) just to be sure.

It is viable given that typically, however now not very most often, a couple of egg is published. So, if you're pregnant AND you've your interval, it might imply that you simply handiest stored one egg. Or, you have been already within the method of getting your interval (because it occurred a couple of days later) while you had intercourse and, for this reason, controlled to turn out to be pregnant.

Spotting does not a period make. In fact, spotting is a symptom of implantation, so there's a definite chance you could be pregnant.
To clarify: you probably didn't actually have your period. Light bleeding at implantation is a symptom of pregnancy.

Yes. I had my period after getting pregnant with both kids. I didn't have spotting, it was a full blown period. Go to the doc if you think you might be pregnant.

Well, I've heard of people having periods in pregnancy, but it sounds like what you had is the spotting you get sometimes when the egg implants in the side of the uterous, sometimes comes with cramping. Take a preg test! =)

Yes, I spotted for about three months before I actually found out I was pregnant with my son. So their could be a strong possibility that you could be. I think you should get checked out to be sure.
