Was it 95% beef fat and 5% vegtable oil? I'm not sure, I think I read that somewhere, but I can't remember if it was true.

not so sure about the 5% oil, but beef tallow for sure is what gave them that great taste.

Like everything in the past, fries were cooked in lard. I don't know how bad it was, that was my parents generation and they all seem to be still around and really old. Of course they cooked at home and didn't eat fast food. Hmmm.

They changed it? They still taste the same though.
