If you know for sure that he is not gay then just stay best friends (brothers)and say nothing. If you know that he also is attracted to men then maybe you can try to have a talk with him in a way that he'll know that you're serious. You know the situation better then any of us so you have to descide if you should bring it up or not. Sometimes keeping things as they are is the best thing to do because really close friendships are hard to find.Trying to change that can ruin it all. Whatever you choose to do-Good Luck!!!!!!

Ah, if only life and breathing were as easy as reading a good book! The most difficult and at the same time honest thing to do would be to sit your friend down and tell it to him straight. No, there is no pun intended here I assure you. Either he'll realize where you're coming from or, he'll be really confused. If he gets confused, use small and easy to understand language that will result in the least amount of continued confusion for him.

There´s a saying in English, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." In other words, you are in love with him, but... are you going to leave it at that? If you try something (talk, make a move, whatever) you may get what you want. If you don´t do anything, you will remain in love with him, period.
If this other guy is really your best friend, in the true sense of the words, then you will not lose him. He may not respond exactly the way you want, but he will understand you and still be your friend.
My suggestion is to talk frankly with this "best friend." He can then accept or reject your ideas and thoughts. Remember, "nothing ventured, nothing gained."

Ok, here's the thing. He is your best friend, right? Think about all the pro's and con's and ask yourself Q like, Does he see me the same way? If I tell him, how will he react? If I tell him and he's not like that, will I be losing my best friend? The best way to deal with a sit' like this is find out everything you can before you do anything. Does he know you like, like him? Take a step back and think about what you really want. Then approach him after careful consideration

I think you should let him know how you feel, who knows he may feel the same way about you, or if you think this will ruin your friendship then it's best not to say anything at all, depending on how much you value his friendship. Hope this helps...

Well, if he thinks of you as a brother, he loves you, too.
Question is: is he attracted to you?
Just ask him!

INSTRUCTION MANUAL:
First, ask him if he is gay.
A) If he says, yes, THEN you can ask him if he has ever thought of you as boyfriend material.
B) If he says, no, he'll probably ask you why you asked. He will think he must be "acting gay". So you can say you can't tell by watching people, so you thought you'd take a poll of all your friends. (And since he is not gay, don't ask him if he wants to be your boyfriend.)
