I read this story today on Yahoo! that said this German guy got busted for driving drunk in his wheelchair. It said the man's blood alcohol level was 10 times the legal limit. So what is the blood alcohol level legal limit in Germany?

In Germany the legal blood alcohol limit is 0.5 per mil. One beer or a glass of wine is enough to reach this limit. If you are caught with a higher blood alcohol level (as a result of a breath or blood test), then heavy fines are usually imposed and the licence is often withdrawn. If a driver is involved in an accident and found to be under the influence of alcohol, then – irrespective of who caused the accident – the driver is liable to be prosecuted even with blood alcohol levels less than 0.5 per mil.

It is 0.08, the same as most of the USA. By the way, several states in the USA have convicted people of drunk driving on their LAWN MOWERS, as well as in their wheel chairs.

There are 3 limits in Germany depending on what was going on at the time. .03 .05 .08. I think it would have been .05 for him.
